    New CD install

    Hi all.

Have a question, wanting peoples thoughts.

I pulled out the aftermarket CD player in my MN 2010 Triton and it was not installed through the harness, no ISO extension. Completely wired into a whole new set, soldered and all.

But the harness is still there.

    Is this normal?

Looks like you have two harnesses there.

The one with the white plug I believe is the factory power, steering wheel controls and whatever else for the factory head unit.

The one that is all spliced into looks to be the speaker wires but with the factory plug removed.

Did they maybe tap in somewhere else for power and acc wires to power the head unit? Then just splice into the speaker loom to send signal to the speakers?
