Just be aware, there's no EGT sensor in the NW. You can measure transmission temperature though.

I have been running Torque on my 2014 NW for 4 weeks & have noticed that Coolant & Transmission temperatures are always exactly the same reading which makes me suspicious of the validity of the readings. Anybody else observed the same or different results?

Default setting for Torque pro series 4.2 auto temp

          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Torque pro to get Auto temp to work, you need to setup a custom OBD2 PID in the main menu setup you can load already setup custom OBD2 PID and then edit it to read below.

          OBD2 mode and PID(in HEX
          2102
          Short name (used in Display)
Trans Temp (or whatever you want to call it)
          Minimum Value (typically 0)
          0.0
          Maximum Value
          200.0
          Scale Factor
          x1
          Unit factor
          C
Equation (eg A+B+20- or [0d]+10=A or even just [0d]
          f-50
OBD Header to use (leave blank, 'Auto' or HEX header)
          TCM

This works on series 4.2 auto and a must if towing

Can't quite see where you plug the unit in to on your photo, is this behind the Glovebox or is it the Drivers side ?.

Could you install a 7" tablet in the dash? That would be cool!

I'd be surprised if it worked on a Gen 3 but I'm sure a lot of people would be happy if it did.

goodsy this may be the way to go

all i would do is get two small 2 channel amps to run the speakers, i doubt the internal amp would be very good..

the small 50watt per channel units should fit nicely in the glove box, and also to maintain temps could use a thermostat with a relay and have it turn a small extraction fan on when it hits 40degrees or so.

oh and the best music playing app would def be poweramp

My cheap ebay adaptor claims that oil temp and trans temp are not provided by "ECU".

I have an NT Diesel and would very much like to see the engine oil temp value. Do you know the codes for that?

                  Thanks

As above will give you the auto trans temp you have to add a custom PID as per directions above, I don't know if we have an oil temp sensor.

                            Glenn

                            I need more help please?

                            Where you have:

"2102" I can't get that to align with Trans Temp. Seems to refer to a "PIDs supported" code and "Freeze DTC"?

Also where you have the equations as follows:

Equation (eg A+B+20- or [0d]+10=A or even just [0d] f-50

Torque disagrees and wants A*B+20 with no minus sign at the end
and [0d]+10+A not an equal sign as you have.

Lastly [0d]f-50 should be [0d] according to Torque!

Torque says not to mess with these settings as they can scramble the engine ECU and as they differ from yours I am not game to go any further.

                            Help?

                            Regards
                            Doug

Double check for yourself, but I read somewhere that the Pajero only went OBDII compliant in the NT onwards.
                              Hi Macster
Does it mean that Torque would not work on NW Diesel 2011 as it does not ahve EGT sensor?

Ok go to Torque home screen and click on bottom Left Hand menu, then select settings, then, select Manage extra PIDs/Sensors. Now select menu in top right hand corner, then add predefined set, then Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Mercedes, then Transmission Fluid Temp (GM Method 1). Now a screen will come up options for: Trans.FI.Tmp and select Edit, now edit it
change the fields first line is the heading and under it is what to change it to

OBD2 mode and PID(in HEX..... to
