Default ECU chips

Hi all.
Thinking of getting an ECU chip for my NT. Have already got a BD 2.75 exhaust.
With so many chips on the market, what are people's thoughts on the subject.
Am towing a Jayco Journey O/B tandem axle. Any help/comments would be appreciated.

Hi Joffa,

Have had our DP Chip in since Jan 2010. (Car is Nov 2009). Definitely an increase in power and grunt for towing our 2.5 tonne van (mainly why we did it). Fuel econ seemed marginally better by about 1-2LPH too. Also have the BD 2.75 exhaust. Set the chp to 6 after fitting that and she moves! Much quicker at the lights, more power for overtaking and towing the van up hills.

Absolutely no problems with the chip or car in the past 6 years. No black smoke or codes. Also have the SPV Mod.

Didn't take it out for servicing at the dealer either (still going there).

Why DP Chip? 6 year new car warranty -(longer than the MM one!). They've been in business since 1956, they know diesels. Have been to their Berrima workshop - the guys are very knowlegible.

Went for reliability, name and warranty over cheaper versions of chip. Have been very pleased with that decision!

Cheers,
Sally

I have the same as you in regards to the BD 2.75 and I tow a Jayco O/B Eagle as well. I am getting my first non MMA service done on Wednesday and am getting a DP Chip fitted at the same time. When I got the 2.75 B/D fitted I noticed NO Difference at all in power, and no improvement in turbo lag at all. I actually find the B/D rattles a hell of a lot.
