    4m40 timing case cover

    Hey guys can i replace the timing case in the 2.8l and wheee woukd i get one i have taken off my harmonic balancer to replace the seal and have found 2 holes in the case guess i found the oil leak

    Sure it's not just the front seal? How would the timing case cover rear or front have two holes in it?

      I wish it was just the seal i have checked it the seal is worn but what has happened is the harmonic balancer has somehow worn away at timing case and the metal has got thin and broke away i am probly goin to have to make a plate to go on the cover to stop the oil would show pic but cant upload the pic

        Get a new harmonic balancer and timing case, if it's wearing theres too much play, if your not up for the funds you would have to get that plate spot on in thickness to prevent it happening again.

                I would only weld it if the crack or holes aren't close to the balancer or seal.
