Don't forget to clean/change the cabin pollen filter behind the glovebox on a yearly basis, or after a long dusty trip. Changed mine a little while ago after the first warm weather - the A/C works twice as well now.

    Cheers,
    Stephen

Hey Lazarus. Looks like a nice spot in your photo. Whereabouts is it? I am looking for a 'new NW' easy run somewhere close to Melbourne.
      Cheers, fazza

This is not close to Melbourne mate.

It's Wonnangatta Valley. About 6 hours drive from Melbourne.

It's well known and well visited spot amongst campers, hikers, hunters and 4wdrivers. (google will reveal more), I go there 4 to 5 times every year.

Try Lerderderg. Nothing serious in there, start point is just next to Bacchus Marsh.

I find most of the dust gets inside my NW when I open the back door - it builds up around the seal & becomes airborne when I open the door - worse on a windy day as the wind always seams to blow the dust inside the car - most annoying. I have also noticed dust marks on the footplates suggest dust is entering through the seal at the bottom of the rear side doors. I run the air on fresh whenever possible & fan at least 50%. I think dust is the sign of a 4WD being used as intended!

When I was working up in the NT, we were always told to run the AC on recirc.

This way it doesnt get fresh air from outside. Only ever got minimal dust (bulldust will get everywhere) but when on a normal dirt road, no dust at all.

How come you guys run the AC on fresh, it is breathing air and dust from the outside????

If there is dust in the air, recirc. If not, fresh. If there's no dust in the air it's only sucking in fresh, clean air and will pressurise the cabin

Because I bought a camper trailer I needed to install decent brake controler.
Decided to go with Redarc TowPro. Just returned from maiden voyage camping trip with camping trailer. TowPro performed flawlessly.

I agree. Fresh air pressurises the cab preventing dust coming in. I've found much more dust entered the car via nooks and crannies on recirculate. The exception to this is if you are driving through dust already stirred up.

                      Hi Lazarus,

Can I ask how much it cost to do the tint job? Looks very nice!

It looks like the back windows are darker than the "darkest legal tint" on the front. How does that work?

Exceed models, Triton GLX-R and most of other car manufacturers are selling cars with the rear windows darker, so called "privacy glass" they are not tinted, the glass is actually darker.

What I did on mine is instructed tint place to install "privacy tint", some places just do double tint. Ended up like factory made privacy glass

Cost was about 250-300 (friend price), I can't remember exactly.

                          Hi Paul,
I'm just about to get tinting done with Tint-a-car & am going for darkest legal tint on front windows (allows 35% light through) & privacy/non-legal for all the rear glass (allows 18% light transmission). Both block 99% UV.
They're going to remove old tint too.
Total cost $550, with lifetime (25yr) warranty. Looking forward to it!!
                          Cheers Sam

PS. Great to see your tint Lazarus as it shows me how mine will look!

Following TC.Barky example I bought lift kit from Ultimate Suspension in NSW.
Both Lachlan and Brendan have been fantastic from day one, even chasing parcels around following delivery fiasco, not their fault, but they still refunded delivery fee. Based on their recommendations I bought high rise comfort ride kit because I dont have bullbar or whinch etc. $1150.00.

Instaled today by Brakes Plus in Hoppers Crossing (I have decided to go with them after reading some good reviews on newtriton forum). Guys at Brakes Plus are excellent, full of knowledge and excellent customer service, their company car is new triton with lift kit as well. $330.00 installed plus $70.00 for wheel alignment.
On top of that they did complimentary injectors calibration, no charge.

I am just glad there are still companies like the above two who genuinely care for their customers.

After measurement confirmed that car gained 45mm at the front and 60mm at the back.

                            Picture will follow up

                                A bit of update...

Next week Opposite Lock in Melton are installing bullbar, winch and Lightforce Genesis LED driving lights.

Lights will cost me an arm and a leg but you get what you pay for.
