    auto fluid

Yes it looks ok, but i did a stupid thing, i removed the check plug without the engine running & lost may be 60-70 mills of fluid before i could get the plug back in.
As i have ord the gasket & filter & 20 lt of penrite oil maybe i replace the lost
fluid with penrite or change oil by not removing pan but use the drain plug and
flush system by removing oil cooler return pipe & run new fluid through system
i am thinking about making up a fitting to fill trans through filler plug hole i will
have to check thread on plug & see if i can get same type of plug & make up fitting with hose tail on it to pump fluid in to flush system.

G'day rdog, i know this is an old thread but how did you go with the Auto Transmission oil change, did you end up using the penrite oil & if so how has it been going, i have also been looking at what to use when the time comes to replace oil in transmission was quoted approx $330 for 20lts from MMA, any tips would be great.

You can buy the MM stuff in 4Lt bottles. I have the balance of a change in one after being done by a non MM dealer. Cannot give you an individual cost as it was an all up charge.

best price I could get was $400 from the infamous suttons Arncliffe (Sydney) at least their service department spare parts a bit more easier to deal with.

here's the part number if anyone needs it there's also some jap writings I can take pictures if someone can read it may say who makes it

amazingly three dealers I rang not one had it in stock had to be ordered in, makes you wonder what dealers put in?

an addition to an old thread.

I requested a check on my NT auto trans condition during 105km service.

Mitsubishi dealer indicated oil was low and sample could not be optained. Asked if they had topped it up and they indicated they don't carry oil and only order in when required. Service schedule recommending checking auto trans at 15k intervals.

Took it to an auto specialist and they indicated oil filler had been removed but the check hex bolt had never ben removed.

I tow a off road caravan & i am about to change the trans fluid at 70,000 km
and thinking about using either otech syn tech multitrans, or penrite full syn
multi trans fluid, i have spoken to both company's and told their fluids meet
Mitsubishi diamond queen PA specs, at about $200 for 20 ltrs is less than half
the price of Mitsubishi fluid & i am told that you can only purchase it in 20 ltrs for $450. will use genuine pan gasket, filter & o ring ect. You need about 15 ltr
of fluid to flush system torque converter & oil cooler. What do you think about using non genuine trans fluid ?
                  Hi Marquis,

I use the Castrol transmax multivehicle and the car is running like a dream! I've read elsewhere that this is best suited to the Pajero.
