Default Accessories key position

Been wondering what the whirring/humming sound which you can hear from behind the dash when the key is turned to the accessories position. Is it a cooling fan or something else?

Also; is there much battery power consumed in this position for a short to medium period, say 5 to 10 minutes or up to 30 minutes? Handy to know if you're parked and chatting on the CB etc. Thanks.........

I think there's a brake actuator the pressures when you turn the accessories on

the stereo does have a cooling fan that can be heard, although it's very quiet!

Yea, there's a louder background hum when you first turn on which settles to a softer tone soon after so probably is some kind of pressurisation initially. Thanks for your response.

Yes, not obtrusive but audible so probably a cooling fan of some description. Thanks for your response.

Tone changes from loudish buzz/hum to a more subdued hum/whine so probably starting with the brake pressurisation/actuator to a cooling fan, more than likely for those components behind the dash, thanks for your response.
