Default damo1's qtr chop

Righto guys been threatening for a while now- had a couple of hrs to kill so i did my qtr chop.

I went away from the norm slightly and cut my qtrs at an angle rather than straight.
Its only about 15mm but i think it gives it a little bit of that "factory" angle look. what are your thoughts??

While i was at it i cut the end of the chassis down and lost one of the factory bar bracket mounting points off the chassis all to gether.
This is for a custom bar i will make soon and just gives me more options for mounting closer to the body with all the crap out of the way..

Looks good. The slight angle does look good as well.
Cheers,
Andrew.

Cheers mate i did that for a little more of a "factory" look to it.
They never finish off things square so i thought i'd angle 15mm front to rear.

I forgot to mention also that after i cut the lowers off i made a template of the holes (different boths sides) then cut fibre glass sheet - about 4mm.
It was cured not just matting.
Then just sika flexed it up under the body, it looks sweet and very neat actually i even surprised myself with that one.

cheers damo

Yeah the mural of my fat head It took me a while to work it out

Cheers for the feed back,

The chop actually shortens up the look of the rear with out that stupid over size and weighty rear bar i recon.

cheers damo

I feel a bit slack for not doing a build thread on this simple mod sooooooooooooo if anyone in sydney (or will to travel too) is wanting to do a qtr chop im happy to help out and we could do a build thread with there vehicle as the model.

Conditions are simple it must be done at my place and at a time that fits into my (And my two kids and wifes) life style.

I could probably do it at work again if i set it up early enough.

If you want to do this you must be serious about it, you must be willing to get you hands dirty, and you must leave your attitude at home.

The way i would like it done is like this -

I'll direct you on what you need to do.

I'll supervise you while you are doing it.

I help you if you get stuck.

I'll take pics of you at work.

I'll take the piss if you up.

And we will laugh at it when we are done and drinking your beer while admiring your handy work.

If your interested let me know.

All up this should only take about 2hrs of your time.

Cheers damo
