    Waroona fire

I have put together a small tribute on the Yarloop workshops, lost to fire this week. So glad I visited 6 weeks ago. Kicking myself I didn't photograph the buildings and steam engines.

Lost to the Waroona fire, 07/01/16. Thanks be to all those who kept the heritage alive, only to be taken away by the forces of nature.

Yep, a sad day indeed. I had meant to visit here after looking at one of your blogs. RIP to those that lost their lives staying and fighting this fire. Still not over yet, we can only hope there is no further loss of life. I really feel for those who have lost everything.

Thanks for that, well done . Driven passed lots of times on the SW Highway. We normally come home that way if we go camping down south, but never stopped to have a look. Feel for the people who have lost everything.

Nice pics, very sad to see what they lost.

I went down Forrest Hwy about 2 hours after it was opened, very odd to see all the trees black and some random houses still standing, seemingly full of colour.

Power lines still down and dragging on the ground just a couple of meters from the road side, quite an eerie feeling.

Great video and photos. A terrible loss of life and of items of historical value.
