Im having exactly the same issue at the moment. I've replaced the front left sensor and it still happening. Hoping to replace the front right sensor tomorrow. Otherwise i'm clueless at this point.

Replaced front right sensor with no change.
Although the severity of the braking/traction control seems lighter if that makes sense.

Have you checked your tyre pressures? are they even, because of one tyre is significantly lower pressure than its mate on the same axle, the stability control ECU controlling stability will think that the car is in a skid and start applying brakes etc to compensate for it.

          Tyre pressures are all fine

FWIW. my guess is that one of the wheel sensors is screwy and sending signals to the ECU, which thinks the car is skidding. Clean each wheel sensor and see if the problems is still there.

Yeah I've also heard that It could be a sensor in the steering column that assists with calibration to let the ECU know that your alignment (not wheel alignment) is trued up.
So I think I'll start with cleaning the rear sensors as I've already replaced the front.

Have you considered the hydraulic accumulator in the braking? Item 54243 in the picture below.

Mine is doing the same but only on startup and the first few pedal presses.

                Just a thought.

Try resetting the steering angle sensor. You need to disconnect the battery for a few mins, then reconnect. ESC off light will illuminate. Then take it for a drive being careful to go quite slowly until you are at a straight stretch of road, then accelerate up to 60 or 80 kph (still on straight) and the light will go out. Ideally pull off on a straight bit of road, do the battery reset and then drive off. I cocked this up once in our NP by accelerating to 80 around the bend leaving our house after a reset and the car then thought straight ahead was about 1/4 turn to the left. Made it trigger ESC when it shouldn't in RH bends.

                      Tried this and no avail.
I'm gonna fit a new clock spring and see if that helps...i'm gathering that is the steering angle sensor.
If this fails i'm going to have it un registered and get rid of it.

Have you looked at which clock spring you need, there are 2 in the NP.
I bought the wrong one and have it to sell if it's right for you.

                            Hi everyone,
                            I gave up
On the faulty self locking braking
System after the rego ran out
And the de mister fan stopped working
And the battery packed it in
It was going to cost $1000 rego , plus a new battery and an electrican for the fan
I gave the Pajero to a friend rather than use more and more money

He s got a mate who will look at it
