Not a Pajero issue, but I'll ask nonetheless:-

What are these hinges called and does anyone know where they can be bought in Melbourne? I've tried 10 places to date with no success

Think they may be called full wrap or partial wrap hinges

They are called cranked hinges, should be available at GOOD hardware stores. If not try caravan supplies.

Make them if you can't find them, just fold a normal set in a vise or sheet metal folder.. A gentle bit of heat and a few taps with a hammer.... Done...
But with this method, you don't get a sausage in bread as you do at Bunnings....
