Just spent a few days at Picnic Point on Lake Eildon, just south of Mansfield. I hadn't been down that part before and there are so many great camp spots it's hard to know where to stop. Ideal for fishing, boating or kayaking. Lot's of shade or open spaces if you need full sun, plus long drop toilets. No shower though and under 3 hours from Melbourne.
