Old Bendix ones did 30,000 klms.
New Bendix 4x4 pads.
Lower slider had seized again. so off with the caliper and into the vice with a socket. Plenty anti seize on pins again, when re assembled.
New 31x10.5x15s on this weekend, $155 a tyre.
Michelin LTX did just under 50,000 klms.

Guess two sets of these, are about the same as one set of the LTX's
12mm 0f tread.
Adds inch to ride height.
GPS on tablet clocks me 1.5 klm over 100 on the speedo.
Local tyre shop, gets good mileage from the road versions.
plus new front, top ball joints.
Back for wheel alignment this week.
Hi Mits247,
Welcome to the Challenger Club.
Had mine for a couple of years now.
Got it with 216,000 on the clock, now at 270,000
Only done 100 k's as yet, on the new tyres,
So don't know of changes.
What year do you have, and what mods.
Im in the Tweed Valley, Northern NSW.
Seen about 6 or 7 Challengers appear around here in the last couple of years.
The 3ltr motor does have a few inherent problems.
Valve seals start leaking, causing puff of blue smoke after idling for a while.
Rocker cover seals may start to leak, as the camshaft rear seals.
Keep an eye on eye overheating problems. Alloy Radiator tubes can corrode and close up,
Plugs, leads, timing belt, and water pump needs doing every 100,000 klms. Not an easy job.
Mines a 2002. Got 160k on the clock now. Loving my poor man's patrol. No mods really. Ally bull bar, roof rack.
We just finished a 1200km trip around Victoria.
Only issues is a slightly loose clunky drive line which may have been made worse as it's done some towing in its life (i can tell by the wear on the tow hitch) and I'm not convinced the timing belt have been done so I think I'll send it in shortly...
Well my Beloved Challenger went under in the recent Murwillumbah Floods. Was parked well above the 1954 flood height.
It served me well for a few years.
Was insured, but as many, only get half what it was worth to me.
Now somewhere with 300+ flood effected Cars.
Back to work on my,dare I say, SWB soft top 2 1/4 petrol Land Rover, which was slowly being full restored, to eventually replace my Challenger.
Drive careful.
Sympathy to those who lost everything.
