    Canvas Repairs (Adelaide)

Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for where to go in Adelaide for some tent repairs (broke a corner peg loop off a canvas "touring centre pole" style tent on the last trip).

Just looking into if it is worth repairing or not.

    Thanks in advance.

Sar Major are highly regarded for their canvas work. Most if not all, quality caravan repair places use Sar. Give them a call. They are on Pinn st., St. Mary's.

As with anything over the years, there maybe other quality, smaller traders available but if you are in a pinch their quality is well known.

Let us know how you get on.

Another possibility is Maureen at Emersons Canvasware at 13 Grove Street Marleston (tel 82931969). Among other things she actually makes up the Stone Stomper trampolines for Christian (and repairs them too). She'd be pretty good with small finicky jobs on canvas, vinyl etc.

I used Adelaide Annexe and Canvas in Edwardstown for some repairs on my camper trailer tent. Not sure if they do little jobs, but might be worth a call.

Adelaide Annexe and Canvas provides a wide range of custom made canvas products. Quality products at great prices.

Yeah, I was going to suggest Sar Major too.

Is it to just sew on a replacement 'peg loop' onto your tent? (As per Kingoonya?). If so, any motor trimmer should be able to to do it quickly and cheaply).

Thanks all for the input, I will make a few calls.

Yes Geopaj, Kingoonya was the last straw for that peg loop....

I use C.A.S. Canvas in Para Hills West. Been using them for years for jobs like a new heavy duty BBQ or Tent bag, through to a new cover for the camper trailer. Will be getting a custom ski boat cover from them shortly. Very thorough.

Thanks everyone for their input, I ended up going to CAS due to location for the minor repair, and ended up walking away with new tent and pole bags as well....
Quality looks to be good, but I guess only time will tell.

Not sure if you took much notice of my tent, but that was made by CAS back in 2000.
