NJ GLS sunroof

Hey all...

I have a 1993 LWB with an electric sunroof. I have a feeling the previous owner has stored surf board or similar on the roof and the metal frame around the sunroof glass has rusted to dust.

I'm struggling to find a replacement at the wreckers and wondered if anyone had had any joy with fixing similar issues by just fitting a custom glass to seal the thing up or any other helpful solutions??

Someone has similar issues in the gen 1 forum from memory, might help checking that out.

One thing I would recommend-avoid using silicone. Once you've used it you can't get anything to stick to that area afterwards that isn't silicone, makes painting much more difficult etc. Polyurethane won't taint the surface in the same way
