    Pajero IO

This came through via email, hopefully someone might be able to advise.

Hi, I now own an 2000 io Pajero as well. I am in desperate help from any of your members who may also own one. Or if you know of a io club in Aust. I am having trouble with front wheels not engaging when 4wd selected.
My dealer tells me it's a 4wd solenoid or he also called it a free wheel engagement solenoid. $690.00 + 6 weeks to get one. From what I can find I think they call it a free wheel clutch switch. Only avail ex o/seas. Again 3 to 6 weeks. I need to try & solve issue by next weekend for my sons bucks party. All he wants to do is go to the beach for a couple of days. Any advise appreciated. Cheers. Rick.

The Free Wheel clutch actuator? https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/genu...2&uid=128406&q=

(just an example, check with your VIN)

If its the actuator you should be able to visualy inspect if its working or not, if its failed also check if parts form another MM fits (check with the part number), if so I think it should be asey to find in wreckers flebay or similar, but also check if there is a problema with the vacuum system.

LOL $690 - tell them to pull the other one it plays jingle bells.

        It's less than a $100 part - about $70 -80 USD OR LESS!
