Default 4m40 turbo upgrade expressions of interest

As most of you know I have been playing with different turbos on the 4m40 for a few years now. There has been a lot of interest and I get lots of PM's and emails asking for options. Some people like my Advise and some don't . I'm getting to the stage now where I am comfortable offering a few turbo options, depending what people want . So far I have tested one offs and won't offer some option unless there's enough interest. All options use a bush bearing waste gate turbo .So I guess I'm asking, what do the people want ?

Option 1 up to 100rwhp tuned standard setup.

Option 2 up to 120rwhp bolt on turbo and tune.

Option 3 up to 140rwhp turbo with a manifold adapter and different patten dump pipe. An upgraded intercooler and exhaust is also required to make the quoted power but will work without.

Option 4 up to 200rwhp. Turbo, new manifold to suit turbo. Will also need pump mods, intercooler upgrade, exhaust and airbox to make the quoted power but will work without.

The bolt on option is the standard Turbo hi flowed. More power than this requires a different turbine housing as the standard on is to restrictive. This Requires a manifold adapter or new manifold .

Obviously these are max figures. Condition of engine, and fuel system will alter results . If your considering any power upgrades and your not sure about the condition of your injectors get them reconditioned or get new ones . This is a must. Warn/Out of spec injector are one of the main causes of cracked heads on the 4m40

Price for the hi HP turbo is a bit more than the average rebuild on a standard turbo . Due to forum rules PM for price . Can do deals on group buys as I have to put in a minimum order quantity.

Due to lack of interest I no longer keep kits. One off orders of my customised turbos ant available either as parts need to be ordered in minimum quantities. However if you need turbo sizing help I can advise on what off the shelf options would best suit your needs . Happy boosting
