Default Diff adjustment

I have this post in another forum but not much luck.
Does anyone know if you can adjust/tighten a gen 1 diff?
Have noticed a clunk starting to happen in mine and would like to sort it out before it gets any worse. Any input appreciated.

'Clunk' is more often a universal joint than a diff.

Check the UJs first.

Noise is definetely coming from the diff. Had it jacked up and moving the rear flange by hand, also turning rear wheels by hand can hear noise before uni even moves. I am certain noise is further back than uni. Going to have a look at the rear bearings in the next couple of days but I am 99% certain noise is from diff.
