    Vic Wombat State Forest

    Hi all,

I'm new on the forums having just bought my 98 pajero that is
    Stock standard.

I'm looking at going for a drive through wombat tomorrow to do
Some track time but would like to do some easier stuff.

If there is anyone that would be interested in coming out
Tomorrow (Sunday 9th) let me know as I would rather go
    With Another vehicle.

    Cheers,

You should never take Wombat on your own this time of the year!
Rain means mud and no tracktion, if that happens on some remote tracks you'll have a hard time finding help!
A simple muddy puddle can turn out to be a meter deep, so having backup is essential down there.
Unless of course you only stick to the good tracks.

        Hey,

Thanks for the heads up, I have tracks marked out on my map
That are easy that we did with a few vehicles 2 weeks ago(I wasn't driving)
        They aren't muddy tracks.

Shame about the short notice, otherwise I'd have come out for sure

As above, you are game going into Wombat on your own this time of the year, particularly in a vehicle you aren't familiar with. Hope you've got decent recovery gear for self recovery!!

Make sure you stick to those tracks you're familiar with if you end up going and take your time, there's been a fair dumping of the rain the last few days.

              Hi guys,

Went out to wombat yesterday ended up being a nice sunny day
and there where people everywhere. Did a couple of tracks that I knew
With no problems at all. It was a bit slippery in places but very doable
on road tyres. I did diggers track, XL track and amber lane.

All in all a nice little drive and had a late lunch in Blackwood.
