    Towbar confusion

    Evening All,
I am looking at taking my towbar off my NP and fitting to my NS, but from what i have seen on towbar website's, the NS even it has a limit of 2.5t has the same bar as the NT and later, and not the NP.
Would there be a reason for this, or have they grouped them by generation?
Just don't want to do it and if something goes wrong insurance doesn't pay out.
    Cheers,
    Andrew

The NS (auto) was limited to 2.5T due to the limits of the Jatco auto (unsure for manual).
The NT (auto) got the Aisin box, so they increased the power & the tow rating to 3T.
These days towbars have to have a sticker placed in the drivers doorfame next to the tyre placard showing the towing limits. It is also on the towbar. I'm unsure how insurance goes if these are not in place & correct for the vehicle?
