    Pajero Challenge 2011

This annual event is organised by the Pajero 4WD Club of Victoria and has become one of the best and most challenging self guided, off road navigational events in Australia.

Members of any 4WD club affiliated with there State 4WD Association can enter the Challenge, which can easily be undertaken in a standard 4WD vehicle with good off road tyres.

The Cooper Tires Pajero Challenge is a 24-hour 4WD navigation competition, split into four sections, each of which allows 3-4 hours of driving.

    Each section includes:
    - Driving stage, where the driver and navigator(s) find their way from point to point, answering questions as they go. Many teams have multiple navigators and also swap drivers; it's a team event!
    - Checkpoints manned by members from various clubs
    - Special stages such as a written navigational test
    - Compulsory rests, and a campsite at start finish area

The focus of the event is teamwork, observation and navigation, not speed or hardcore 4WDing. There is now only one class of vehicle, Standard; the Modified class has been dropped, marking a return to the spirit of the original event.

Can I enter in Pajero ?

While with a modest lift it's not a monster truck, it's not 'standard' either.

You sure can David, doesn't have to be a monster truck to enter. Mainly lift and offroad tyres does the job.
Might have to join 4WD Association ($30) for insurance purposes then get yourself a navigator and your in.

Still a few entries left in this for anyone who wants to participate, I have two Pajero's from Mitsubishi Australia entered into this event with guest driver and navigators. This one should be one of the best Challenges yet.

Team 2 will be represented by Cooper tyres.

Well this event just get's better every year. This year we have the guys from 4WD Action on board in one of the guest Pajero's donated by Mitsubishi.
In the other Pajero we have the Coopers Tires duo who really think they are on a winner. Combined with another 24 entries the Pajero Challenge in it's 21st year will again wreak havoc on drivers and navigators brains for 24 hrs.
                      Good luck guys!

we had a mad hatters tea party. here is misery being greeted by the mad hatter at 3am and the nsw mitsu 4wd club boys tasting the the queen of hearts tea. we had a secret checkpoint at the end of a hidden track near the end of stage 3, unfortunatly half of the field didnt find us. we had to be set up by 9.30pm and didnt see the first car until 3am so it was a long night in the bush with constant misty rain for most of it.
