Battery tray

No real point in knowing, i'm just curious. How long should it take a skilled mechanic to replace a battery tray in a 2011 Pajero. Had a crap aftermarket tray. Main dealer removed and installed the official mitsubishi tray. What do you think would be reasonable time?

30mins...maybe an hour if taking your time

I did it with an aftermarket tray in 20mins a few months back

What was this crap aftermarket tray?

Hey. God knows what the aftermarket tray was. My guess would be polystyrene. So wobbly and split so battery could slide around bay. Anyway Main dealer replaced with official Mitsu tray, reused the steel rods and top plastic bar from my old tray. $298. 1 hour labour as they 'struggled'. Oh well, it's done now.

Wow that price has gotta hurt?! Its like 3 or 4 bolt and lifting the battery out

But as said its done now....but yeah if definently diy next time

I know, I should of done it, service front desk said no more than 30 mins so I thought let them do it but an hour.

If ya need a hand with your next upgrade/mod put up a thread and see if a local bloke can help. Couple of beers maybe and hopefully all will be good.
