    No bluetooth conection.

Have had Torque Pro on a Samsung tablet for years that we use in the Pajero.

Recently downloaded Torque Pro to a HTC phone.

Can't get the phone to connect to the dongle in the Pajero.

    Ideas need please.

Can you check that the tablet still connects?

Not all android os units have all the same functions available. Unconnected to your problem, but We are having issues with Android auto at the moment, with people buying new phones and bitching at us because it isnt connecting.

      Yep. Tablet still connects.

Phone connects to 4 other devices in my neighbourhood.

HTC is 4 years old and a spare phone.

      BTW it's an NS.

How old is the tablet that is connecting alright? Just wondering if its a bluetooth version that is the issue

Have you looked at bluetooth settings also?

(I'm making the assumption that this connects via bluetooth)

          It's a Galaxy tab 2.

It isn't a cheap e bay dongle. Purchased from J car 3 to 4 years ago.

So yours is bluetooth or wifi version?

If bluetooth, have you checked the settings for bluetooth to check it hasn't been disabled from connecting to certain devices?

For what it is worth, we have 2 cars, and 2 phones. I can make my phone connect to my wife's car and then her phone won't connect; of vice versa. Possibly they can only talk to one device - in your case, the Samsung Tablet???

Simple thought that you might have already tried-have you tried unplugging the obd2 sender unit, then plugging it back in and attempting to connecting the phone?

Unplugging the OBD connector may work, but y complaint is that the bluetooth seems to totally lose the phone connections and I have to reconnect them. Certainly when both of them are working in one of the cars, whoever gets in first seems to get their phone connected. The Bluetooth seems to be able to handle only one connection at a time.

We used a hire car in NZ that was like that, but slightly more random as to which one would actually connect. Going through weird combinations of turning things on and off at different times until you get the phone connected that you wanted
