Interesting - I'll bet that's gonna upset Long Ranger - "Proudly distributed by ARB".

They are a plastic type material and meant to be 30 to 50% lighter than steel equivalent. Will be interesting to see the details on the pajero ones. I am guessing replacement for the main tank.
ARB has just purchased the company who manufactures these tanks. I can't remember the name, but they have been manufacturing plastic tanks in Australia for a while.

I think it is Autoxtras, ARB is smart, they are thinking about not only about todays but tomorrows market. Historically we can see this by them offering alternatives to the high end branded in accessories and the broadening their manufacturered range into aluminium roof racks and bullbars. The purchase of Smartbar and now possible Autoxtras gives them a more diverse offering and prepares them for the future when steel bulbars will not longer be able to be fitted to 4wds, we can already see this with passenger cars compared with 30 years ago.
cheers, old Jack.

it would be great if they made one to replace the main tank on the SWB. It's pretty small and I've banged my up a bit.
07 NS 3.2 X SWB with towbar, 17' Steel rims, Bilstein Shocks and Lovell Springs, Gun Metal Grey, ARB front and rear lockers, reduction gears, ARB colour coded deluxe bullbar, custom rear storage.
I don't know much about this material but how reliable would it be compared to a metal tank? Puncture-wise etc.
They made a good point on the facebook page. Slightly more flexible material and a super thick wall 'should' mean more puncture resistant. Similar to airing down tires.
