Manifold coked at about 120k km, oil can fitted about 4500km ago, just emptied the drain tonight, thick black oil vapour which would have baked back onto the manifold.

Provent 200 should be a standard from new.

I'd like to see some engine interiors that have had a catch can fitted for 120,000km. Real cars, real drivers.

I wish I had removed and checked my 2005 NP manifold before I sold the car. 280,000 km without a catch can. Still performing well.
Having said that I installed one on my new NX.

I had mine cleaned at 58k there was about 5 to 10 mm around the whole inlet. I didn't get photos. I now have a catch can on, provent 200 I did have the get disabled but felt it made the car run rougher so took it off

I have had my EGR device and HPD catch can on since 5,000 km and I'm at 151,000 now but I don't think I want to pull everything apart just to look?

Catch can oil residue is clean, performance still seems ok.
Anything else I should look for?

After speaking and getting quotes from several workshops in Adelaide

Manifold clean $600

Provent 200 Catch Can supply and fit with fabricated bracket $400

A new genuine inlet manifold with gaskets etc from Mitsubishi just over $800
