Not meaning to hijack your post but I've just spent a weekend hunting in Woodspoint running around tracks like Old Coach, Dearlove and etc.with the NX. You were totally right about the stock NX's off road abilities. I was without any suspension mods, just Hankook ATM tires which I didn't even bother to air down. Amazing. It was mostly done on 4H or 4HLc, only used 4LLc downhill for engine braking.

Rgds,
Tuck

Had an NX comes with us on Alberto's trip to Walhalla last Sat week. Was very impressive going up Burgoynes track. Slightly modified but did a great job none the less. Tape up those connections u/neath Tuck as his Centre Diff lock light was playing up after water crossings.

OK noted, thanks.

Yeah I went over a few shallow crossings, but then I don't have a lift yet. Planning to put one in, by the time we go to Dargo on Australia Day 2016.

Continuing on the theme of USB......this one put in in that useless torch holder in the passenger side kick panel. USB from Jaycar taken out of holder it comes in fits nicely in the torch holder and tap into the yellow wire above it for accessories power. This one powering my Dash Cam

A few more mods completed

Of course the Bushskinz essential armour.

Fitting a rear wheel lifter we knew the spare tyre carrier wasn't going to close with the 265/65/18 BFG on board so 30mm was trimmed off.

Looking good.
Funny that mine fit in no worries in the NT. You wouldn't think there was too much difference.

A little drive today out to the bush. First time in Low Range just to make sure everything works ok.

Everything worked ok and tracks very easy. Bit more testing tomorrow on a club trip that will have some decent tracks to tackle.

Lookin good Dave How much lift did you put in the spare wheel carrier, looks high, but I presume the rear cover is different to my NS
Also interested in how you mounted the battery, and what tray did you use.
Was thinking of putting mine under the bonnet, but want to put in #2 fuel filter.

Standard spare wheel lifter Ian. Was worried that it would hit the rear wiper but got about 30 mm. Obviously had to do some mods on the cover.
Fabricated my own battery tray as height was a worry so used aluminium angle with battery clamps.
