Power drop from 2016 to 2017 on NX Pajero

    Hi
I am considering upgrading from my 04 NP Pajero to an NX when I noticed that up until 2016 the power is quoted at 147kw but drops to 141kw from 2017 onwards including the current 2019 version.
I have wondered if this is due to a particulate filter or some other anti pollution gear. Has anyone got any information on why there has been a power drop?
    Cheers Bob

I understood they were detuned slightly to meet emission controls

To meet the new emission standards they added a DPF, altered the tune & changed the final drive gear ratio (taller). There may be more I'm unaware of.
The end result is a lower power figure (but no change to the torque figure) and a higher fuel consumption figure (+ 0.1 although some forum members have reported significantly higher fuel usage in the real world).

2016 and above models were detuned along with final drive ratio changes in gear box to meet Euro 5 emission by Nov 2016.

Euro 6 was imposed for new Nov 2016 and beyond (ie MY17) which resulted in DPF.
