park lights staying on

my number plate light and right tail light are staying on. only way to get them to go off is to disconnect the battery

any ideas

I think the switch grounds the circuit, so probably a damaged wire touching the body. Try to follow the wire from the rear parker and look for any breaks or exposed areas (even water in the connector)

Does the switch work the other lights?

All starts with a white wire at the wheel.
Looking for a crushed wire to earth.
Had a towbar fitted? Or big nasty rock hit that back corner, rusted carrier?

Check the othe bulbs, dumb things happen and could short to earth.
