car stalling

Just had the battery changed and my car keeps stalling (v6 auto) when I slow down. I know the ECU resets when the battery disconnects. Will this correct itself or should I disconnect and reconnect the battery?

I'd appreciate some feed back as its pretty scary when the engine stalls and you haven't stopped yet!!

It will, over time.

What you can do is,

Start it up and idle it for about 5 minutes in neutral, no air con.
Then put it in drive with the brakes on and let it idle for about 5.
Then put the air con on and idle for 5.

You may have to use a little throttle initially but this process should fix it up for you.

Then, to reset the the transmission, follow the procedure below

turn the idle air bypass screw on top of the throttle body anticlockwise
so the engine runs at about 1200 rpm and let it fast idle for about 5 minutes ,this will allow the isc motor to reset, then turn idle screw in
untill engine is at 750 rpm ,turn aircon on to check engine idles up
if it does all should be good,
the only way to tell if the isc is working correctley is to connect the
car to a scantool
