the stubby holder is for the beer that you normally need to drink during the waiting period for the WD40 to do its thing. Maybe a blow torch is better

Paul, as a matter of interest have u done a lot of beach driving with this Paj?

Thanks for the feedback. Noted about the gaskets. Next Paj I do I will check.

      Hi Robert

Not too much beach driving but a couple of trips up to the Cape "swimming' in a few of the creeks is probably the reason for rust.

Other suggestion would be to offer some blanking bolts for the two pressure sensor holes for those who bypass the sensors all together. I need to see if I can get hold of a couple - do you know the size/specs for the threat?

Having also fitted the blanking plate, I am building to the chip - just need to square it away with the Minister of Finance!!!

      Kind regards, Paul

with regards to the rusty pipes etc. Agreed. Mine were really tight but came free after a bit of working back and forth.

Good idea re blanking bolts. Will look into the sizes. Just away from office for a few days.

Re Chip. when you're ready ... let me know

        Cheers

Are there any advantages of bypassing the pressure sensors as opposed to reconnecting them to the delete pipe?

              Ok thanks.

I guess that I was lucky as my lines were not impossible to remove (almost were however ).

WD40 is your friend. Soak each day for a few days prior.

I found the only bolt to fit the 2 sensor line bolt holes in the delete pipe were 1/4 NPTF. Nothing else fit the thread cut in mine (definitely not 9/16 unf as quoted). The original lines on mine wouldn't come lose with loctite freeze or map gas, so they stayed attached to the removed dpf and connected the rubber ubes together. About 20 thousand kms and no trouble, other than a replacement scv but not related.

Do you have any bolts or plugs in the thread you cut to blank the 2 lines off at all?

Still no issues? No resistors required?

                      Hi all,

For those that simply replaced the DPF with the race pipe and reused the existing temperature sensor, was this all you ever had to do to avoid the dreaded DPF light or any other issues?

It appears that in other threads it is advisable to install resisters into 2 temperature sensors to avoid issues without a ECU re flash. (Still trying to understand what resistors and which sensors)

I'm trying to get organised to do my own, but don't want to get half way through to find I'm missing a part etc. as I cant afford to be without a car.

                      Thanks in advance,

                      Garry

You get away with this SOMETIMES. It is not a 100% fix Garry

Try it if you like however if you are not sure OR don't want to be stuck anywhere come to us and we can get it sorted

                          Hi Garry
I just connected the pressure sensor pipes together and put the temp sensor back in.
Nothing else done and ran this for probably 50,000Ks with no issues.
I think the burns started happening less and less over time because the pressure difference burn never happened the the Km burn may also learn how much the DPF is blocked and adjusted itself over time.

                            Hi,

I also reattached the pressure pipes and temp sensor for around 110,000km now without any issue. Still does the distance based burn for 10 minutes.
