a friend has a very simular roof rack like this one in pic which he also paid over $1000 for and he does not like the way it has been finished off from factory to mounting. it has small rust spots around the weld areas coming through the powdercoat finish plus all bolts/ nuts / washers used are just plain steell and are also starting to rust.
he advised he could and should have had a custom made aluminium rack made up and used a set of 4 x rhino roof mounts and a full set of stainless bolts etc. this would have come in at under the $1000 mark and would have lasted atlot longer in years.

O'K.. not the same rack! The review is on the Tradesman Flat Rack Oval Steel dolphin, the finish is excellent & I'll be surprised if I get the same issues..
As the rack will be living on the roof...Time will tell..

Gus.

46ltrs for 512ks to 40ltrs for 308ks

86ltrs for 820ks = 10.5/100ks so happy with that.. Will be interesting on way back home after having the 3" Exhaust fitted..

Andrew have a look at Creighton's TJM in the Commercial Advertiser's section..

HERE

Quote: I have been listening to Gus & can report that we are in the process of having a 3" Mandrel Bent Dump Pipe & Exhaust with high flow Cat to suit Gen 3 on, (other makes & models will be available but on an order basis), which will be available soon.. Gus will be having 1 installed & will review prior to us offering as we wish to make sure they're A1.. Gus will also be reviewing other Products & in doing so we have agreed he writes them as he sees it!

Gus.

G'day mate,

Thanks for the link... I was mainly interested to get your thoughts on the differences it's made for you. eg: any difference in the way the turbo spools up/low rev torque, or any increase in grunt Vs noise and economy etc.

Cheers,
Andrew

Well after a great trip to Brissy I can say the Tradesman Flat Rack will stay on the Paj I wont bother taking off for when not needed..

The low profile hasn't stopped me using undercover parking as long as I have 1.96m clearance, (& that's with the awning attached), also with the wind deflector which does the job proven by the economy not being effected wind noise is negligible even on the return trip when I struck 40klm/hr + winds..

On the economy as reported on way up 1 got between 10.5 & 11 ltrs per 100ks sitting on the limits when safe..
Return trip was during the NSW fires and the wind was a-blowing big time so not expecting it to better that, even with the new exhaust, I haven't filled up yet after the last 950ks but the 1st half of the trip saw 12s which I was still happy with considering the wind.

So verdict from me is a big thumbs up well worth a look...

Gus.

PS. As the rack will live on my Paj I'll report how it stands up with time & use.
