Why less Mitsubishi dealerships in Sydney

I live on the northern beaches of Sydney... population around 250,000 and we have no MM dealership.

Col Crawford's used to have the MM dealership, but it's gone over the last 18 months. Bill Buckle are doing basic service on MM vehicles, but nothing remotely complex.

The nearest MM service centres are out of the area and have only been going for 9 months or so - so experience is limited amongst their mechanics.

My overall rating of MM for service support right now is therefore approaching nil, for this large customer base in a major city. It took 4 hours out of my day to get my car dropped off and picked up the other day - and still the issues are not resolved.

Why are top dealerships turning their back on MM ? Does MM really care?

Apart from the Pajero where they sell a few hundred a month what else has MM got to offer ? All their cars are out of style under powered overpriced ugly rubbish compared to Toyota and the Koreans even the Euro are getting a foot hold .

So to answer your question theirs not enough interest or sales for anyone to get involved in MM and those that were involved got out and into other brands .And IMO after dealing with MM service I would avoid them at all cost .

          Whitey,
If Artarmon is not too far out of your way - head to Artarmon Automotive for your servicing..
Family Run business and Mitsubishi Specialists..
With enough booking notice, they have a couple of loan cars available - otherwise can drop you at the station or it's a 200M walk to the Free Artarmon shuttle bus)

I have been going there for over 25 years for all of my vehicles (including the last 4 Pajeros)

Col Crawford lost the MMAL service franchise for some reason but after having to take my Pajero to them once for Warranty work - It reminded me why I never use dealerships for servicing otherwise...

If you *must* take it to a MMAL dealer - Alto Mitsubishi (also at Artarmon) is your closest..
