Vacuum hose or another hose missing from intake

Hi all

Was just heckling everything and wanted to know if there is a hose missing here or something. Looks like it but many it's normal. It's from airbox the big hose connecting to it around the sensor. Picture attached

Nothing missing but how long since your MAF has been cleaned?

Looks like it hasn't been off for a while if ever.

I cleaned it about 6 months ago but recently did a outback trip so that's probably why it looks like that.

I can't exactly remember what it is but on cold climate models (some European countries) they have another system linked in and a hose used in that clips into that slot on top of the air intake.

Many car makers use generic parts suited to all markets to save production costs.
