Default Asking for your thoughts please

I fitted a injector pump a few weeks ago , car ran worse, took it to a diesel mechanic, he checked it, yep I was out one tooth, DOH, so he corrected that I gave him a hand to finish it tonight. Started sounded better at idle, we took it for a drive,, bugger me engine warning light came on. He going to put the scan tool on it tomorrow. Has anyone had a similar experience? I think I read on here something about doing a re learn for the TPS. Thoughts please, pretty desperate as I have the kids for school holidays. Thanks in advance

I'm no expert, but maybe ECU is recorded those old errors, and decided later to show engine light. Have had senarios in triton 3.2L, issues before eng light decides to show up and even go away after stop/starts. Could dis-connect battery for half hour, for the re-learn process. Just a thought

Hopefully you have just reconnected a vacuum hose wrong or something simple like that. Check for fault codes using this procedure: http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/...ad.php?t=20313
Only then will you truly know where to start looking to get the problem sorted. Keep us posted with what you find!
Cheers, Dan.

They cleared some codes today, but still have code 41 coming up.. Throttle valve sensor.if we disconnect the solenoids under the battery it still shows the code, and traction lights coming on and going out. From what I've read here I'm leaning towards the sensors under the battery needing to be replaced. If so where can I get them at a reasonable price. I'm soo over this car 4 months still haven't driven it. I can't use the language I want too

Know how you feel mate. Wife wont drive it in case it wont start suddenly. I'm getting to feel the same. MM cant tell me for sure what it is, as well as my mechanic, and an Auto trans specialist. Bloody frustrating.

Redrock, you need to check 2x things.
1. That the linkage on the throttle butterfly is still connected. Refer to this thread of mine for pics, from when I had code 41: http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/...ad.php?t=33738
2. Check that the vacuum hoses are connected to the correct positions on the butterfly assembly. The hoses are all colour coded. The RED hose goes to the diaphragm underneath the butterfly and the YELLOW hose goes to the diaphragm above the butterfly (see attached pics).
Cheers, Dan.
