Default Provent catch can

Another warranty question, will fitting a Provent catch can impact on the warranty. Unlike the spv egr unit it can't be easily removed.

My understanding is that if MM don't cover any issues, then the warranty of the product's manufacturer should. I'm no expert and am happy to be contradicted, but I think that, in order for MM to refuse to honour the warranty, they have to prove the AM part caused the issue. You, as the consumer, don't have to prove anything. I'm sure it's a little more complicated than this in reality, but I think this is how it works.

Cant see how it would affect any warranty claim. It is filtering minute droplets of oil and only extremely small quantity. Any thing that went wrong would have to involve a lack of lubrication. Do not see this happening. Interesting to see what others think.

Just my opinion.

Possibly if the filter in the can became blocked or a hose was kinked and caused a pressure build up in the crankcase they would be able to deny a claim for leaking oil seals in turbo or on the motor.
The over pressure relief valve on the provent seems to be set at a fairly high rate, so that might not help in some cases.
