best snorkel for NW Platinum diesel

Apologies if this has been dealt with previously.

We're not far off receiving a new NW GLX Platinum (diesel) and reconsidering our extras this time around.

Because of where I live, I consider a snorkel essential. Research indicates that I'll be in for a bit of a problem with the lights washers (smaller bottle?). My main interest though is in which one brand of snorkel fits & seals best.

My 4x4 guy is recommending Safari whereas I was think Airtech.

    Any opinions or links please?

    HI BB,

I like the Airtech - IMO it looks better than the Safari.

Does the jobe well for us!

Thw washer bottle is slightly smaller, but has never been an issue. Still a very acceptable size.

Really comes down to personal preference, but I think the AIrtech looks more streamlined.

    Cheers,
    Sally

I went with Airtech based on looks and have had no issues with it.

        +1 for Airtec

I did the install myself and I reused the OEM washer bottle, just needed to trim a bit off, invert it and plastic weld it.

          Many thanks

          My thanks to you all.

Here I was thinking Safari was going to get elected, and it turned out to be Airtech in a landslide.

I shall keep this in mind when having a serious heart to heart with my 4x4 chappy.

How I wish I was as handy as eman. I want to state quite clearly right here and now that I am capable of cutting a hole & carving up a water bottle. It's just that in the end it would look absolutely sh#t house.

One advantage the Airtech has is that its design doesn't interfer with accessing the headlights if you need to replace a bulb.

                    Airtech blows Safari away

Thanks everyone for your responses, opinions and tips.

I seriously thought most people would have a Safari snorkel.

Perhaps my 4x4 mechanic isn't up to speed when it comes to best kit for the Pajero.

Ability to change light globes without a problem seems pretty important. Especially as it's one of those jobs that I could actually trust myself with. Airtech it is!

Blinky, just out of interest, why are you changing from an NT to an NW?
