My apologies Swordfish... will fix up with a generic.
And thanks for the feedback on this as I feel it is very important.
More so nowadays with all the calls for getting rid of 4wd's in the city.
If your in a club at least you have a voice.
The other reason is none other than to cure my curiosity!

am a member of the Landrover club n Victoria. If I wasnt already a member there then I would join the Pajero club but it ends up too hard to be a member of both and be a worthwhile contributor.
I would definately recommnd anyone joining a 4x4 club. In the last 6 years as a member I have had a ball and made friends that will last me my lifetime. You dont have to do everything club has to offer but it is great to have the choice.
The biggest problems with clubs nowdays (and probably just a reflection of society) is that the majority want to take and not give back. Remember it is only run by members so if everyone just does something small to help out it will all work.thanks,

We have a rag-tag collection of friends and work collegues - almost enough to form an official club in our own right.
I gave up the idea of joining a club after one of the friends left the club he was in when they they wrote by-laws on how to share campfires during outings! "It was the final straw, just too many regulations"Peter

Was a member of a this club, but left for personal reasons.
Have been involved in a few car clubs & all have there 'pros & cons' but TBH found the club very regimented & tended to cater for the older, long term members & not willing to accept that there are a lot of 4wders who are looking for something different from what has been offered in the past. BTW, this is not a criticism, just my perception; rightly or wrongly.
I have been informed that this is changing, so am reconsidering joining again but do have an objection to paying the 'joining fee' again.
Like all clubs, you get out of it what you are prepared to put in, but IMO they must cater for all members, not just the select few.NL Pajero,F&R airlockers, reduction gears, Ironman susp, ARB bullbar, Tigerz winch, Uniden UHF, roolite driving lights, Mickey Thompson ATZ 4 rib &, BFG KM2' tyres
MUD SUCKS.
