Got a letter from MMA finally.
Rang my local dealer and booked in straight away.
        Seems there is a bit of a wait ... 5 January 2017.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Hi Sam, could you please tell me what is the part number for clock spring from Ali Express you ordered for NS? By the way I got my letter for the recall yesterday and earliest booking was October. I also don't think this has anything to do with my issue that sometimes volume doesn't work (it depends on the steering wheel position so it must be clock spring).
            Thank you
            Cheers

I got mine from these guys

If you do a search on clockspring on the 4-1 forum the part number will come up on one of the threads. The number I used is 8619A018.

Incidentally - I've been having ongoing issues with my indicator not activating. This is despite me having replaced the stalk with a new genuine part. While I had the clock spring apart at the weekend I pulled my new indicator stalk off and all the terminals were well greased. So I don't think this is my issue.

I've cleaned up the earths on the steering wheel casting when I had the clock spring off but I suspect I've got a loose or corroded earth somewhere else.

If my indicators don't work I find that turning the twist switch on the opposite stalk makes them work (rear wipers). Hardly satisfactory but it is a solution of sorts.

I've got my recall letter but I'm reluctant to take it in just incase they update my ECU to do the km scheduled DPF burns.

              Cheers

off topic...kinda. I have had MM replace my clock spring for the steering wheel button lights flashing and working randomly. It did not fix the issue, could this be the cause? Buttons work fine, just not the lights.

Just wondering, pretty sure I received a notice for this recall a few weeks back. If I don't have a local dealer, what are my options?

Well my NS is booked in to have the airbag and switch connector recalls done at the same time in a week or so.....hopefully it comes back with no problems.

Well got my passenger airbag recall done today and all went well. Must say pretty happy with the local Hobart dealer (DJ's) that did the job, they said it would only take around 45 mins to do. Dropped it off at 09:00am, drove out at 09:40am.
