Well it still leaks just half the amount it did before the new seal.. its just on the right rear.. The diff breather is not blocked.. it has new bearings on both axles.. could it be just too much oil in the diff and if so how much oil do they need?

Yer they were all good.. Was thinking before that it could be the grease we packed them with had melted away? Could that be right ? There is no winding noise or anything coming from there..

did you end up sorting it out? I have a weird problem with my front diff, I wound it right out the other day (Up to 80km/hr) and it spat diff oil out from somewhere, need to get under and have a good gawk. I had more pressing probs though in the form of a bent tailshaft, fixed that though, nice new unis n stuff. Anyway, could it be if I had a blocked breather the sheer pressure pushed oil out of places it shouldn't go? I've never wound it out that far in 4H since I bought her 20,000kms ago. Does anyone have a bit of a rough guide on replacing seals for the pumpkin itself, not the axles?

also the oil leaking out of that hole would indicate a blocked breather most times
