Is Caltex Delo 400 the best oil to use in a Pajero diesel. I have not made up my mind what oil to use. Any recomendations would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Asking what is best is going to spark a long and complicated debate. Quite a few of us here seem to use Delo 400 as it appears to be a quality mineral oil that can be had at a reasonable price in 20L drums.

But if yours is an NS you must use a specific oil designed with the DPFs best interests in mind

Hi Pat, It's an NP with 186000 k on it, so the Delo 400 would be ok. I know oils are a can of worms, but if the general opinion is Delo thats good enough for me. Thanks

No worries. On another note, in case you missed the other forum posts, and with 186k on it - change your top timing chain guide.

            Cheers - Pat
