Had a mate pick up his new NS Pajero that I bought for him here in Cairns. He didnt hang around as he wanted to get home before the roads were flooded and he might get stuck here in the cyclone.....He lives in Airlie Beach!! Little did we know how this was to pan out...At this very moment the eye of the cyclone is over Airlie Beach...No communications, naturally...

Newish house so hopefully he will be right. We went through a couple of cat 4,s and a very near cat 5 when we were in the NT. Bastards of things is an understatement.

Hope everybody is safe and not too much damage. Poor bloody farmers are going to be devastated..

Hope everyone is safe and unharmed up there! Been through a couple small ones on the north coast NSW when I was young but nothing like this one. The couple of little ones where terrifying enough.

Your right this will decimate plantation crops.
