    Smokey rich exhaust fumes?

    Hi All,
My parents have a 97 NK 3.5lt pajero, which hadnt been driven in a month, we charged the battery and got it running. It now has a slightly smokey and rich exhaust. The egr valve had been a bit rattely for a few months, could it be that the egr valve has finally given up?
(Battery was low on water, but we topped that up. If that could be a cause? Doubt it though)

Mightymits, try cleaning the throttle body, I bet its as black as a niggers ass and have a look at the airfilter and box, could be sh**up in there too and take it for a run, after you have got here cleaned up, it doesn't do, to have them standing about. best of luck.

As above, also check oil and take her for a good drive. Seems to fix most cars that sit for a bit.
