NT Audio Controls Not Working... sometimes

    Hi everyone,
My Audio Steering Wheel controls have stopped working during the last week - until now they were fine.
While I am driving straight there is no connection but when I turn the steering wheel they connect again.
So, yes... I can only turn up and down the volume when I'm going around a corner...
A bit of a problem if I'm driving down the highway....
I have taken the steering wheel off (with all the airbag precautions) but I couldn't see any obvious connections.
    Any advice would be great.
Thank you in advance for your help and time.
    Cheers

May be an issue with the clocksprings.
    Please call me Vlad.

Mate do a search on pajero clockspring as Vlad has mentioned........there are many many posts on this subject.

The clockspring is probably the cause of the issue and the posts will inform you on where to buy one, how to change, and the symptoms many others have experienced.

      Good luck.

Thank you everyone for your replies - I've found the solution here -

Just one last question though -
What part number should I get?
There are a couple mentioned on this forum.
My Pajero is the GLS with Audio and Cruise on the steering wheel.
It's the same as P4J3R0 in the thread above.
PartSouq says 8619A018, but I've seen 8619A017 too.
It seems though that 8619A017 is for the Paj Sport?
Clock Springs Aust sells them (on eBay and their site - aftermarket) for $59.95 with free shipping.
          Or.... should I go for a genuine one - 8619A018 - $228.50 delivered??
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts
Thank you all once again in advance.

Partsouq.com always has the correct part numbers bud as they are taken from Mitsi. There can sometimes be different numbers for the same part.
