Does anyone know if the Mitsubishi ATF is synthetic or part synthetic. If not has anyone used synthetic. It's claimed synthetic resists temperature degrading more than mineral fluid, especially when towing. Any thoughts out there.

Do not use SP3 in this vehicle, synthetic or not. SPIV is correct.
Put SP3 in your NP if you’ve got one.Troy

I have been told by my mechanic that the Nulon multi vehicle trans fluid which is fully synthetic not only meets, but overrides Mitsi specs. He has also told me that this trans is the same as a Toyota 100series auto, have been using this fluid with pleasing results. I them went onto the Nulon product selector page for my car and yep, all good.
Aparently when towing is when you will find the big difference.MY15 GLS NX Pajero, ARB Deluxe bar, AE4705 GME Antenna, Uniden 8060S, SPV EGR block, Donaldsonl fuel filter, Front tinted windows, Monroe shocks, King Springs,HPD catch can, 9" dominator driving lights.

ATF - PA should be used in NX pajero. I recently purchased a 20 litre drum from Mitsubishi dealer for $450. Ask for trade price. I have the vehicle serviced by an independent mechanic who worked for Mitsubishi for a number of years and awarded Master Technician by Mitsubishi. He flat out refused to change transmission fluid unless genuine fluid was used as he has seen transmissions problems with incorrect fluid used. All other fluids, engine oil, diff, transfer he is happy to use non genuine. Transmission only genuine fluid. I’ll take his word on this.2015 NX Pajero, Smartbar, Warn XD9000 Spydura rope, Toyo Open Country AT2, OME 2" lift, Airtec snorkel, Pioneer Platform, Piranha DBE-SX 180 dual battery, Boo's Bash Plates, Lightforce Striker HID, Kings 2.5 x 2.5 awning, Scangauge2, HPD catch can

You'd have to ask what fluid they're using and whether it's a proper flush or just drop the pan and change the fluid they can get at. Given the price of the genuine ATF that quote seems low.NX GLS MY16 Auto: MM Towbar | Spare Lift Kit | Cooper ST MAXX 265/65R17 | SPVi Module mk3.1 | Autosafe Half Cargo Barrier | Torque Pro App | Donaldson 3um 2ndry Fuel Filter | Diff Breathers | GME4500 UHF | Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform | Roley's Rear Bash Plate | Bushskinz Underbody Protection | Airtec Snorkel | Onboard Compressor | Awning | ARB Deluxe Bar | Lightbar | Sherpa4x4 Winch | Bushskinz Sidesteps | Masten TPMS

Sounds awfully cheap to me! Genuine oil alone is triple that. Even other brand oil would be more than $145. I think a full flush requires the use of 12-15 litres (10 or so of which is what it holds and a few more to flush).Cheers, Hatto

Just looked in the owners manual and it says 11ltrs. Not sure if this is for the whole system or just the trans itself.MY15 GLS NX Pajero, ARB Deluxe bar, AE4705 GME Antenna, Uniden 8060S, SPV EGR block, Donaldsonl fuel filter, Front tinted windows, Monroe shocks, King Springs,HPD catch can, 9" dominator driving lights.

Mitsubishi charge about $400 for transmission service. Trade price for fluid is $450 for 20 litre drum. I wouldn’t risk a cheap fluid change, what are they using?2015 NX Pajero, Smartbar, Warn XD9000 Spydura rope, Toyo Open Country AT2, OME 2" lift, Airtec snorkel, Pioneer Platform, Piranha DBE-SX 180 dual battery, Boo's Bash Plates, Lightforce Striker HID, Kings 2.5 x 2.5 awning, Scangauge2, HPD catch can
