    Catch can or EGR mod?

Given limited funds, which should be done first? Install a catch can or do the EGR mod?

    Thanks
    Rob

You can do the EGR mod yourself with a $0.05 resistor and soldering iron, or plug n play SPV industries for $150 (whatever it is now).
Or get a catch can for $250-350.
I suggest you do both. See latest post in my build thread (link in my signature) for the amount of oil that my oil catch can can collected.

If you don't have the money for the oil catch can, the EGR mod is what most people do (but may not be legal).

      Hi Roboz,

I don't believe the EGR mod is legal as it changes the emissions the vehicle was certified with.
      I installed a catch can I my 2003 NP.

They both contribute to the problem, but IMO fit the catch can and the dust will pass right thru. But for cost do both.
