Hi guys, just a quick one..the bride is scared of the dark, so I'm gunna stick a rather bright light bar on her new NX..that has a new ECB roo deflector on the front.....Question....are the Pajero's negative or positive switched...haven't got the car yet...another week to go...just getting ready for a weekends work..thanks...

negative switched, but since you will be using a relay it doesnt really matter . You need to find the fuse in the engine bay that powers the high beam (it is swithced by the column switch), I cant remember which one it is now its on this forum somewhere (its fuse #28 on my NS shorty, may be different on NW). That fuse gets swithched with high beam so you need to piggy back on that fuse to switch your relay., then put your dash switch in line with that switchwire or the neg side of the coil. It is negatively switched at the switch but is positive at the lights. Older cars run the reverse at the lights.
What you need is a mini fuse tap and replace either fuse #27 or #28 (high beam fuses) and use it to trigger the relay.
The switch in the diagram is no longer mandatory.
