If you’re not buying genuine hubs (which are a stupid price), it is probably a bit of hit and miss as to what quality you get. I bought mine from a local, well know truck parts distributor figuring he wouldn’t still be in business if he sold crap to truckies. I’d ask where the bearings are manufactured – Japan seems to be the county of favour these days but maybe China is catching up. Even if you buy a ‘respected’ brand these days, chances are the bearing will be made in China.

    Cheers

MOOG is a US Brand - Ironically a lot of their (made in the USA stuff) is actually made in Japan and relabled - Their tierod ends for Japanese based vehicles are repackaged 555 brand - which are a great brand as long as you get the Japanese ones not the "made under lisence CHinese ones)

555 has been around for a very long time.
              I was buying/seller their products back in 70s & 80s.
Ball Joints, t/r ends, uni joints, t/shaft brgs and lots of other stuff.
              All out of Japan then.

I got my rear wheel bearings from allied bearings for my gen 4 Paj. Been on for about 35k km and no issues. Fitted perfectly and looked identical to the old original ones. Can't remember what I paid for them but $300ish rings a bell. A heap cheaper than genuine anyway.
So I'd say if the price is right, go for it. I'm a happy customer anyway.
                Cheers, Hatto
