    Tyres

    Hi Old Jack
I have just fitted the Toyo A/T 3 .Ended up paying $230 each .a few extra dollars now is worth it in the long run .The 4 ribs had wandering problems and seemed to be slippery on wet roads from new .And the ST Max had vibration problems after sitting for 2 weeks .I work away from home 2 on 2 off.
Thanks for yours and other members help .

All the tyre sizes below are Passenger Construction tyres, only those with a LT prefix are light truck construction. All the Light Truck construction tyres are "10 ply" which is a load index of 119 or greater. There is one size that is a 8 ply Light Truck, LT245/70/R16 113T.

            Hi OJ.

So yes, the 265/65/r17 does not come in LT.
What about the number of ply for the P models?

I will be looking at new tyres soon, it'll be my first at set, my main doubt is P or LT.
What i do is mainly black stuff (90% hoping to reduce it soon) and beach driving 10%.
Theres some gravel and corrugated here and there but really occasionally. Nothing rocky (im in perth).
            And not towing.

Am i better off with P or should i be looking at LT no matter what??

            Cheers

              Gday.

When you say excellent fuel economy ... what are we talking about?
I like the idea of an A/T tyre but I also don't like the idea of spending much more on fuel.

I don't often go off-road. Maybe a 4 times a year or so. So it is mostly city/highway driving. I also do not tow.
