Manual vs Auto reset mode (fuel)

Okay, I think I have this correct.
When displaying the fuel consumption, 'Auto' mode is the average since the last reset i.e. after car has been off for 4 or more hours (or if reset has been pressed while in Auto mode)?

"Manual reset mode', is that the fuel consumption average since the last reset performed in manual mode, even if that was weeks ago?

So if I hit reset while in manual mode a week ago the reading in manual mode will be the whole period since last week?

Correct, I reset manual mode each time I fill up so it displays the average for the tank.

Get a Scangauge II as it is a hell of lot more accurate the the standard fitment trip computer. Plus is will keep tabs on a lot of other parameters.
