    Just purchased

    I've just purchased a 2010 Challenger auto .
130,000kms , service history is a bit sketchy.
I'm tipping I'll have to replace the cam belt . I normally do most basic maintenance myself, but I'm not up to trying that myself.
This will take the place of my Delica. Looking forward to driving a car with even more ability off road and a decent air con , cruise control and stereo

Thanks , yep that was my thoughts too . At least I know where I am then .
I'll wait until I take delivery of the car so I can go through the hand book a bit more and maybe contact the previous owner.
Definitely do the catch can mod , not 100% convinced the erg is necessary as long as the catch can is doing its job .
Living in a rural area , most of my driving is above 80kph and sweet bugger all idling .

I have recently purchased a DC/DC smart charger for my old Delica .
Does anyone know if that will work with the 2010 Challenger ?
I've heard some later cars have a smart alternator that needs a different style charger .

dcdc charger will work on any car. Just ensure decent size wiring to the dcdc unit (6b&s) and install as close to the aux as you can . Dcdc charger was actually invented with smart alternators in mind..due to their ability to lower voltage output.

Thanks for that . It works a treat in the back of the Deli and I'm hoping to transfer my complete set up into the Challenger.
I've gotten used to having my fridge and coffee machine available to me anytime /anywhere

Trip home from melb was great , all well .
But driving to work this morning I'm feeling a surging sensation at hwy speeds . Acceleration is fine , but on slight throttle as used when cruising it's surging.
                Feels like a fueling problem.

At 130,000km you're probably looking at the Suction Control Valve. Not expensive and very easy to replace. See the thread below.

2010 PB LS- ARB Bull Bar, Runva 11XP winch, Cooper ST Maxx 265/70/17, Ultimate suspension lift, Bushskinz plates, Kaymar rear bar with single wheel carrier.

My initial thoughts were fuel starvation.
When I got to my destination, I lifted the bonnet and was able to get quite a few pumps on the fuel filter hand pump .
Haven't had the chance to drive it since.

Just a quick question , should the water pump belt be replaced at the same time as the cam belt ?

was unaware that there is a separate water pump belt (is cam belt and balance shaft belt)

water pump is driven by main drive belt (alternator/pwrsteer/waterpump all in one)
